More than just a Rural Tourism unit, CASA VELHA in Sertã is an experience! For those who visit and those who live around here. The idea is to share with guests a rural and natural way of life, yet simultaneously comfortable, functional, and, above all, genuinely Portuguese!

Behind the stone walls, you will find a completely independent house, renovated and equipped to offer the utmost comfort during your stay, with a noticeable effort to preserve its original and picturesque architecture as much as possible. The tranquillity and natural light that enters the house is not indifferent to all those who pass by.

During your stay, a continental breakfast is included, and your four-legged companion is welcome.

THE SPACE

FACILITIES

The house comprises 3 bedrooms (2 doubles and 1 twin, all with wood stoves), 2 bathrooms (one of them in the ensuite), a spacious living room with a wood stove, and a fully equipped kitchen that extends from the winter fireplace to an outdoor area where the barbecue invites for alfresco dining, and where you’ll certainly have evenings to remember.

The maximum occupancy of the house is set at 6 people, with the possibility of adding a crib in the ensuite. Rooms are not rented separately; only the entire house is available for rent, aiming to prioritize guests’ privacy and comfort.

TRANQUILLITY, ENVIRONMENT AND REST

At Casa Valha, you won’t feel like a visitor, you’ll feel at home! Living on the farm will be a dynamic experience, as engaging and participatory as you desire.

Don’t be surprised if you see a bag of fresh bread hanging on the door in the morning, if you’re invited to gather eggs from the chicken coop for breakfast, or if you’re encouraged to pick vegetables from the home garden for fresh salads and hearty soups.

TRADITION AND RURAL LIFE

So that your stay can become an unforgettable memory, there are several activities you can do with your group. Partnering with local producers and aiming to preserve the traditions of the area, there are various experiences that will undoubtedly make your visit to Cernache special!
